Our Mission Statement
Full dispersal • • • Maximum altitude • • • Continuous Descent
Some of you will remember that in October the government launched a second consultation on its proposals for additional runway capacity in the south-east (known as the National Policy Statement), where its current preference is a third runway at Heathrow.
That consultation closes on 19 December.
Whilst GON has never campaigned for additional capacity at any other airport, it's important that as many as people as possible respond opposing another runway at Gatwick.
To do that the quickest option is to send an email to RunwayConsultation@dft.gsi.gov.uk
Your email should give your full name, post code and email address.
We are very grateful to the Gatwick Area Conservation Campaign for the information we quote below.
We suggest you say:
"I oppose an additional runway at Gatwick airport for the following reason[s]:"
And then choose one, two or three from any of the following points:
Alternatively you can respond on-line at https://runwayconsultation.dialoguebydesign.com
Please do take the time to respond to the consultation if at all possible
